As of October 2009 the federal bureau of prisons discontinued in providing funds for religious meals, prior to this discontinuance a $250 budget was set a side for Eid Adha to purchase lamb or goat for the religious celebration. As of now our Muslim brother and sister are forced to eat meat provided by the institution in which is doubtful that it was raise or slaughtered according to Islamic tradition. IMA Foundation is asking brothers sincerely to donate generously, it cost $100 for a goat or sheep and $350 for a cow. IMA Foundation purchases are well maintained live stocks from local farmers and slaughtered according to the sharia'h by Muslims. The prophet (pbuh) said, ' Sacrifice for the sake of Allah in any month whatever; obey Allah the Most High, and feed the people. (Abu-Dawood #2824 Agreed Upon)
